WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?

Microneedling also known as dermal rolling, is one of the safest skin treatments that activates collagen production and improves skin tissue to treat a number of skin problems ranging from signs of aging and acne. 

The microneedling technique involves multiple tiny sterile needles that puncture the skin for maximum collagen, skin tissue, and elastin production.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Microneedling is an effective way to introduce new cells into the skin and improve your complexion. The process uses a pen with multiple small needles that are attached at its end, which you use on someone's face or other areas in order create mini-without holes through which nutrients can flow more easily for better results; including improved tone as well scarring removal! 

The treatment is generally pain free but may be mildly uncomfortable for those with a lower pain threshold. Dr. Andonian and the entire team at Andon Aesthetics work hard to ensure the comfort of every patient. 

Unlike with other aesthetic procedures, microneedling has little to no down time. You may go about regular activities as early as the next day. There is no real downtime, immediately after, your face is red and over the week to two weeks the redness resolves and the skin heals so there are some preventive measures like avoiding sun and heat and rubbing the face and keeping it moisturized but no real limitation in daily activities or routine.

MICRONEEDLING AFTERCARE:

• Limit sun exposure (no direct sun for at least 24-hours)

• Avoid rubbing your face immediately after treatment

• Apply moisturizer regularly 

• Apply sunscreen regularly
